I’ve always had a passionate connection to design and an anthropological fascination with how people relate to the world around them. I think “why?” was the first word I learned. Throughout my career I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of the best possible way to connect people to brands and to keep them engaged in an authentic way.
My diverse experience has allowed me to gain keen insight into the entire thought process of the consumer, from discovery to consumption. I’ve excelled at developing brand identity, conceptual thinking on traditional and online advertising, and shepherding continued consumer engagement through an interactive social experience. Turning consumers into brand advocates is the most authentic and cost effective way to increasing sales and broadening your customer base.
With a strong leadership background of over 20 years, I know how to successfully rally cross-functional teams (product development, editorial, packaging, marketing) to exceed the very difficult challenges facing us into today’s ever changing market. Producing great work takes a ring leader with my broad spectrum of experiences to get the most out of internal and external teams. Imagination, collaboration and flexibility are the keys to my success as a leader.
My client experience has included technology, mobile, consumer products, gaming, and online security. In particular, my experiences in the new product development for Pepsi and Sandisk have allowed me to be immersed in the product life-cycle, from concept to consumer. And in the case of the Sandisk MP3 player, I was able to illustrate as well as voice the animated Lil’ Monsta character. It showcased my abilities as an art director as well as my prowess as a creative leader.
My position as Creative Director of the marketing team at CBS Interactive allowed me to further explore engagement in the mobile space as well as increased exposure on other areas of consumer engagement such as experiential marketing and international event design for CES, Comicon, E3, and SXSW. My teams were also involved in designing and executing quarterly gaming competitions as well as multiple pop-up stores and product introduction parties around the country.
My current position as executive creative director allows me the opportunity to build and develop a mulit-leveled and multi-disciplined team of writers, art directors, designers, video artist and content creators as well as leading the business end of the agency.
